20 Dream Experiences On Our Ultimate Bucket List

After travelling for 4 months, we are in love with every new place we visit. However we are still always hungry for new adventures, and will never be fully satisfied! We will always want to explore new countries and have new experiences, so we have compiled a list of our top 20 experiences that we have on our ultimate bucket list and would love to tick them off one day!

1. Getting to Everest Base Camp

This has only recently been added to our bucket list, and is definitely quite out there! However it is something we would love to do one day, and include as part of travelling through Nepal.

2. Going on a Safari in Africa

Going on an African Safari would be an incredible experience! We are both die hard animal lovers, and love anything to do with wildlife. Being able to see gorgeous animals such as elephants, giraffes and lions all in the wild would be a dream come true for us!

3. Hiking to Machu Picchu

I’m pretty sure everybody has Machu Picchu on their bucket list and for good reason! Being able to walk the Inca Trail and experience the incredible views and plenty of Alpaccas would definitely be something we would love to do in the future.

We have seen this all over our Instagram for so many years, that it has really crept onto our list. Being able to be that close to these incredible creatures would just be magical. However we would need to look for a tour company who do this ethically, so we best get looking!

5. Going on a volunteering project

We would love to immerse ourselves in a volunteer project somewhere across the globe. We have our hearts set on doing a volunteer project with animals somewhere tropical such as Costa Rica!

6. Travelling to Antarctica

This might just be the most expensive dream on our bucket list but it is something we would love to do! Antarctica may not be on everyone’s list, but for us it us definitely way up there! From the stunning landscapes to its incredible wildlife, it would definitely be the experience of a lifetime.

7. Interrailing throughout Europe

When we first thought about travelling we were toying between the idea of interrailing through Europe or travelling to Asia. Asia came out first and we are super happy we made that decision but interrailing through Europe is still on our list!

8. Staying in the Amazon Rainforest

We absolutely loved staying in Taman Negara – The world’s oldest tropical rainforest! Next on our list would have to be the Amazon, the worlds biggest rainforest! We have spoken recently to a couple who went on a trip through the Amazon and they loved it, so it quickly went on our list!

9. Walk on the Great Wall of China

China has been on our bucket list for a while, and so has being able to walk on the Great Wall of China! It’s always something we have imagined ourselves doing one day, and we can’t wait to make that dream a reality!

10. Visit the pyramids of Egypt

Everytime we see a picture of the Great Pyramids or the Sphinx we can’t help but get jealous! We would love to go one day, and maybe include a river trip down the Nile into our trip.

11. Doing a road trip through Canada & North America

There are so many national parks that we want to visit throughout Cananda and North America that the only way to do it would be to go on a road trip! Being able to travel through all the different states and areas of Canada would be the ultimate bucket list experience for us!

12. Going on a fancy cruise across various oceans

We’ve always thought of going on a cruise across the world, but they seem super expensive and we have no idea what they would actually be like. It’s definitely an experience we would like to try one day!

13. Watching the Northern Lights under the stars

Watching the Northern Lights from an igloo somewhere in Norway or Finland would be the perfect setting for us! Definitely an experience we would have to time right!

14. Drive a campervan across Australia

Australia is such a vast landscape, and we feel like it is only fitting to travel across it by campervan. The scenery and beaches look incredible, and the hot weather would definitely be a change from the UK. However we would be very wary of all the creepy crawlies haha!

15. Climbing Mount Kilamanjiro

This is definitely up there on our Africa bucket list! The views would be incredible, and although it would definitely be a challenging experience it’s something we would love to do! Jack has family in South Africa and he absolutely loves it there, so we would love to then travel there too!

16. Travel though Japan

Tokyo looks like an insane place. It is definitely a city we want ticked off our list! We would start here, and then head to the many viewpoints of Mount Fiji! Japan looks like a gorgeous country and we would love to explore it! Just by looking at this insane view, it is clear to see why Japan made our ultimate bucket list.

17. Spot a Blue Whale off the coast of Sri Lanka

This would be one of the ultimate animal experiences for us! We’ve always wanted to see a Blue Whale, and we’ve heard that Sri Lanka is one of the best spots for seeing them!

18. Backpack throughout South America

There are so many countries in South America we want to visit including Costa Rica, Peru, Colombia, Brazil, Rio.. the list goes on and on! Being able to backpack through these countries would be an incredible experience and one we would definitely love to do!

19. Do a road trip throughout Scotland

Scotland is one of our favourite countries, and I think it always will be! We have visited some areas of Scotland but not enough, and we would love to be able to do a road trip throughout Scotland where we wouldn’t be strapped for time!

20. Hike up Mount Vesuvius, Italy

You have probably heard of Mount Vesuvius, due to the devastating effects it had on Pompeii around A.D. 79. We would love to visit this incredible place and learn more about what happened here! Being able to hike up the Volcano would be incredible, but as Mount Vesuvius is still classed as an active Volcano it would have to be done with caution!

Those are our 20 experiences that are on our dream bucket list, of course the list is never ending but I would say that those are our top travel priorities at the moment! Of course we need plenty of money for these trips, so after we’ve finished our first backpacking trip we best get saving haha!
